Well... as bad as I want to play Half Life Episode 2, I just cant see paying 50 dollars for it.. when thats all I want... I already have HL2 and episode 1... I don't care for TF.. never really played it... So it just seems like highway robbery to me.. when I only paid 19.99 for the Episode 1 release.

Valve is really messed up with whole Orange Box thing. I'm sure it's nice if you don't have the other games (and happen to like TF2 like me), but who is going to be waiting for Eps 2 that hasn't already played HL2?! They need to offer Eps 2 for $15 or so (you can still buy it single, but I think it is more than $15). By allowing people to give away HL2 to someone else (if they buy the Orange box and already have HL2), they are pretty much just marketing the series. It's like giving someone the first book in a series after you have read it. That gets them started on the series.
But I'm hooked on the whole Half-life story. I'm a few chapters into HL2. I want to play through that and Ep 1 before playing Ep 2.
So I take it you haven't played HL2 yet.. if not.. then your in for a treat.. and unlike me.. you wont have to wait 1.5 years to see what happened after the.. Well.. I wont say.. But, dam it was big deal to get Eps 1 after the HL2 game.Quote:

HL2 Eps 2 is $30 by itself. That's all you need to get. I'm sure it will come down in price as well.
I bought all of the games as soon as they came out and played them non-stop until I finished them. I've played HL2 through 3 times (this is my 4th) and Eps 1 a couple times, but I want the story to be clear in my mind when I play Eps 2.

On a simi-related topic, Portal is awesome! It really messed up my day since I couldn't stop playing it last night. Sometime this AM, I finished the first pass through. Now I have to make another pass through to get all the achievements and then theres the advanced maps. Uber-creative little game.
