ok...Im about to install it. I thought I remember reading that you are supposed to install the patch before installing the game. True??. Thought I would ask before I messed something up. Or I could be completely crazy.

Yeah, make sure you have the last patch installed before you install BF2:SF.

aww see i would do it after words to make sure both are up to date i bought both of mine same time and upgraded the regular bf2 to the 1.2 that is out now and then installed bf special forces and i couldnt get in any servers they said something like my version did match or cant play cutoms maps. some thing wierd it was fixed when i did the patch a second time, now no problems.
