IE Error.

Yeah. Something is messed up on my computer, something happened to my IE, and i cant use ANY search engine.
a site comes up saying Start Your MEtasearch, and it doesnt even work.
please help! :)

go to download.com and search for spybot...d/l that and run it - also reset your homepage in control panel -> internet properties back to what you had before - and you should be all squared away.

i ran the spybot stuff, cleared the stuff out, and i still cant get to Yahoo or google or anything, i even changed my homepage and it still wont let me use any search engines.

If you are on XP or 2K, go to your %windir%\system32\drivers\etc folder and open your "hosts" file with notepad. It looks like there is a bunch of crap in there. Try deleting everything under the line that reads:

"127.0.0.1 localhost"

Also, click Start -> Run and type "cmd" w/o the quotes.
Then type at the C:>ipconfig /flushdns

That may help as well.
