I can't get the latest CS update to download...just sits there...

Well, it started moving, but still says over 18 mins....

well, it loaded but now gives me some kind of freakin .dll error saying mine differs from servers...

I hate steam!!!

This is very annoying. Have to stay up to midnight waiting for turkey to cook, figured I'd do something productive like play CS.

I have no work tomorrow and this crap steam update messes up my night. Man, I hate steam. Why me...why me??

Yeah, steam is definitely having problems, I think I will check out Day of Defeat.

YEA... Same DLL error... I think the servers going to have to update and restart before anyone who get's the update can get back on.. Thats just my guess..

The server also has to update its files. According to Merc server variables, it hasn't been updated yet. There are about 10 new cvars that are visible after the update.

The client.dll error your getting is because the server has a 32 Engine update, a HL file update, and a Cstrike update to download.


As soon as it gets updated to the most current version, then you will be able to get back on.

And the new client side security module does suck, adds a good 10 to 20 seconds to connect time.

lol i let it run all night and nothing. Now i tried this morning and it says "this game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time" bah!

i logged out, logged in....still couldn't play our server, but i was able to get on lag's server.

Well I did some looking around and I found a few other ppl that had the same problem as me. Read this forum if you are having these problems. Worked for me :) http://steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=37712
