updating to the newest version of cs?

it opens the update screen but then nothing happens...any ideas?

oh yeah, friends list isnt working either...

Did you use the plain steam install or the one that includes the cs update with it? If you used the plain install then uninstall steam, delete the steam folder and download the steam and cs 1.6 installer. I think if you pm/icq toby he can give the link for the installer.

Get toby to send you the link for the steam with CS in it Ernie. I was having trouble also till I got the link. Actually Ill see if I have the link still and PM ya.

no i already had it installed and have been playing, but it auto updates when new fixes are out, and that is where it was hung up at...finally got it working, but my friends list isnt working though...oh well

Search for everyone with LA_MERC in their name...and add them...um...that's about all.

Mercy mine did the same thing today. I had to reinstall steam. My friends list is not working now.

mine updated and I can play fine - BUT, my crosshairs have disappeared :(

my friends list wont work either
