Ok Guys every since i reinstalled 1.5, my ping has shot up!! I dont kno why but it has. I thought it maybe the little box you check that asks how big your computer is or something like that and i think i put 56k but im on cable! does this matter any answers would be greatly appreciated!! yeh, where u see the server list just make it be on "cable" or whatever... that changes ur rate b4 u join.. And in game just type "rate" in consoel to see it, it should be like 7500..

mine is set at 9999, and i have cable... go into cstrike folder and find the file config.cfg...open it with notepad...find rate and change it to 9999....also while ur at it find fps and change it to 100...save changes and exit.

ok i think it worked guys i appreciate the help! but on the config.cfg was it suposed to be 9999.0000 or just all nines? confersed!!! But what ever i put in didnt hurt! hehe lates
