hmm i dont know how to go about this, but i would like a moment of prayers for the families of the 7 marines that died in operation iraqi freedom from task force 3/4. 2 of those marines died when an 81mm mortar hit their amtrac ripping it open like a can opener does a can of fruit. i had the opertunity to carry one of these marines to an ambulance after being declared deceased by a medical officer. even though they had a formal ceremony in iraq, it bothers me when i think that they died on foreign soil, never to see the us again. Also for Cpl. Mileo which passed on due to derelection of duty by removing his helmet and flak jacket. he was identified by recon snipers as an enemy target and died on impact of the round. alot more happens than you see on the news... our battalion had over 10 purple hearts issued to kilo company, and ssgt alva who was a friend of mine is missing his leg from the knee down due to an iraqi land mine.
