Got Lag?

Hey guys, I did some work to the server to try to fight off some of the lag until we can get the new server put together. Let me know if the lag is any better.

The lag I am referring to is when the pings get in like the 200's .. Right now, you will be seeing higher latency than usual because of the problems that most ISP's are having with their networks when dealing with the aftermath of the 2 worm viri released and the sobig mail virus. The welchia worm would cause excessive router memory usage becaues of the vast amounts of routes it created when trying to find a new host. This is what is causing most of the latency you see. Should be a couple weeks before things start returning to normal.

But my latency on other servers in Texas are pretty good and the ones in CA sometimes are even better.

It all depends on how you route to get to a given server. If you go through dallas to get to monroe (as I do...although, that makes no sense...why go WEST to get EAST?), that router may be conjested due to virus activity. It all depends. What you can do is do a tracert and see where you are getting bogged down at. That's what I do, then I call my ISP and tell them to fix it.

DGJ Toby! i played earlier for 2 or 3 maps and my ping was around 75 which is about 100 less that it has been these past few days
