console

Have HL/CS at work but for some reason it doesn't have a console. How do I get it to work? Step by step plz....Ima nub.

Right click on your CS icon.
Click properties
In the target window, type: C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe -console

Click Ok...
That should work.

If using hlsw somewhere in the options menu is a choice to enable console.

well, it worked....sorta.I can get to console from the main menu but I cant get it to drop down in game....er

you have to bind a key to it like so:

bind "~" "toggleconsole"

so either you will have to manually edit your config and place the bind in there - or you can go in through the main menu and bind it, then exit and then go back in and see if it works...

with the exception of the key you want to bind the console to...mine is the "~" key....

I had to add these to my config.cfg file
bind "`" "toggleconsole"
console "1"

[pattont]

that should work if ur at the main screen console.
