i need some help...im getting a system error that is shutting down my wifes computer.

It says that the NT Authority\system is shutting down the computer due to a Remote Procedure Call service being terminated.

i have already reformated the hd and reinstalled xp pro and still getting this problem...

any help would be appreciated.

Its an exploit in windows.. You need to download all security patches for windows which is just as easy as going to the windows update page and getting everything there

The computer will only stay up about a minute before it reboots.

yeah - download patches - got a email from one of our corporate trainers out on the road said she was getting this evertime she dialed up.

ya know, tracker icqed me today - talking about his computer rebooting every few minutes...might a been what was happening to him - but I was at lunch and late, and in a hurry (sorry tracker) is that waht your machine was doing?
