NEW Linux BF server up at 24.164.193.103 We may try to change to Desert Combat. Special Thanks to LA_MERC_i||ega|-op AKA Toby :d: for his help in getting this up. It's a smaller box than Shreveport--so test it and see how it runs. Let us know how it runs--or if we need
a bigger box.

w00t thats great, its been added to our status page. Hey mrbill, you need to try to get that new map up and going on ya'lls servers. Its an awesome map.

If you download the new map, make sure that you download the zip file for the Stand Alone server BUT, you can't just unzip it into the root bf1942 server directory because the directories in the zip are different case than some of the ones in the linux server install. As we all know, linux is case sensitive :). Just grab the .rfa file and place is in the proper location along with the .crc file

I'm sure you are already using this but try winscp which is a windows version of secure copy and it will allow you to ssh into the linux box and transfer files via secure copy just like if you were using ftp.

Ok-I take back everything about the new Linux server--for some reason it kept crashing--SO--WE PUT UP A NEW DC SERVER IN SHREVEPORT--
IP IS 24.170.98.5

You guys are the first to know about it:laugh: HAVE FUN!!!!
