Server Problem

I am having trouble with the Lamerc server. I notice on my hlsw that the pings stop and start every five seconds and the same thing happens on the server i lag for five seconds move for one second an the well i really just stop for five seconds. I am kinda stuck here, this doesn't happen on any other server. I need my fix of the Lamerc server if anyone can help, please do.

empty out your custom.hpk file in your counter strike folder. It is a folder that is used as a find of temp file. Open it with note pad, and delete all the junk inside it, then save it and give it a try. I had a problem with a 5 second lag delay too and it only happend on this server, well mainly on this server, not a big deal just started emptying that folder every time I played and that fixed my problem. Also are you running windows XP, cuz if you are there are a lot of back ground services that you can shut down to help out with your ping.
