wait, wait... let me get this straight... their country is loud and proud about being 100% AGAINST our war on Iraq... but now that we won, they're publicly rejoicing because Iraq was defeated... have I got the basics straight?

I actually felt my blood pressure rise shile I was reading that article.

France accuses the US of going to war over oil, when in fact France, Germany AND Russia have oil contracts with Iraq.
(according to reuters don't have the link but I can find it)
Ok let's analyze this.
UN Security council nations...
have oil contracts...
with a country that the UN has economic (and oil export) sanctions against!

Would it seem that there might be a conflict of interests here??? People actually wonder why the UN has become ineffective???
