This is something that I have been wondering about: Are France, Germany, RUssia and China against war with Iraq because they have been selling items of war to the Iraqi army during the economic sanctions. Something like this would not surprise me.

In a word: Yes! Russia has a multi-billion dollar oil deal with Iraq as does France. France and Germany both supply "suspect" merchandise to Iraq. The roots of their dissention will be made clear to the extent the US can without permanently damaging our realtions with them. yes, it is sad that we know they do it, but we can't say it for fear of bad politics.

I agree snakebite, they want to go against us then let them be on their own and see how they do. I think that France is about to be humiliated b/c Iraq is about to last longer than they did in WWII :D
