BF has to run on a windows server for stability reasons for now until they get all the bugs worked out of the linux port which is still in beta. Jack (networkgod) is beta testing a new product called Grizzly, which is a mass storaged device with dual 2.4gh processors and 1.2TB of storage. And he was kind enough to let us host the battlefield server on there. He does not get to keep Grizzly when the beta is over so, we'll be out a server for a while. We cannot put it on the webserver because its not powerful enough to handle BF, and we cant put it on the game server because it would Lag the CS side, and also it will make the server go way over the bandwidth that Jerry at bayou is allowing us to have, we cannot risk it. So we'll just pub for a while till some other means comes along. And believe me, pubbing is fun on the right servers where they keep everyone in line, and ive gotten much better playing against folks out there.

Onji, I tried to connect to the server you were playing on last night (9:30 CST). Were they playing a custom map? Or was that Road to ROme? I couldn't connect becasue I didn't have the map is why I ask.

it could have possibly been a RtR map that it was on.
