not sure if any of you are around the BR area, but here's some news I came accross yesterday:
Two in Baton Rouge make a pair: Hooters of Louisiana has a contract to buy land on Siegen Lane, where it will build a new restaurant, says Hank Saurage, who brokered the deal. Saurage, of Saurage Co., said the second Hooters resturant in town should begin construction after the sale closes in three months. The restaurant should be open this year. The land for the site, roughly 57,000 square feet, is next to Arby's on Siegen Lane and Industriplex Boulevard. A Raising Cane's and Academy Sports are under construction near the site. Saurage said Hooters wanted to expand its existing location in Esplanade Mall but couldn't find the space. So the company decided to open a second location off I-10 to reach Ascension Parish customers. Hooters is known for its chicken wings and more.
