So... the deer cam is producing this year... MAN I can't wait for bow to open!!!

I have three spots set up.. this one is the bad ass! 3 bucks in one shot.. look to the bottom right for antlers.. deer is just off cam. A little further south of this spot in a natural clearing we have a climber over what is basically a deer highway lol! I mean multiple trails and pics of the traversing in the AM and afternoon.. look at the times on those pics! 5pm.. nice.. I think maybe the cooler temps had them moving earlier.. We shall see what happens this year, but I will be practicing my slipping techniques! :D

In the much warmer climate of South Carolina, this is consider a nice buck.

This guys right behind my house, I can walk out the back door to the stand about 1000 feet back.

In Alabama... at that club.. a 185-200 lb buck is good. If I can find one of those he will be in my freezer I can promise you that..

This is a nice buck deer. Mule deer though. I think White Tail are much better looking animals.

That was a state record deer Yeller, and NOT mine. :D I just googled deer and Montana and that pic was first.

Also baiting deer is illegal out here. I see about 500 corn cobs on the ground. ;)

tell me about it i went the other day with my bow and had one of the tens playing with my emotions. never would come in close enough without having body guard s around lol. He came in 30 yards but had a small 8 and two does blocking me out :(

True... So far, I've put an arrow threw a 6 point, and tracked him that night until my light gave out, then the next day, until the blood trial gave out due to rain... all total I spent 3-4 hours looking for this guy... unfortunately i think I hit him to far back, maybe put a arrow threw the liver. It was DARK blood, my arrow was covered completely, meaning it went IN and OUT, not a grazing shot... Not a bad smell to it like the gut.. but no frothy blood like the lungs... I'm sure he probably died I just couldn't track him down... That was one of those time when I wish I had a beagle to track down a deer.

I have gotten 4 this year so far. 125lb 6-point, 125lb 3-point, 190lb 6-point (he is getting mounted, very nice rack and also the largest killed on the land we hunt) and a doe (on the Federal Refuge in McBee.)

I mentioned that we had nothing but does earlier in the season, that must have been a good thing, because we are seeing nothing but bucks now. :)

Just got back from a hunt on Pinckney Island near Hilton Head. I killed a small cow horn, dad killed a 7-point, lost another smaller rack buck. Several extremely nice rack bucks with 9 points and greater were bagged by other hunters. Deer are smaller in body size down there, but some of these buck's racks make up for that. This was a one day hunt and nearly 30 deer were collected with most of them being bucks.

First "Official Kill" of the season :)

Keep in mind, the deer in my area don't grow to be very big... so an 85 lbs doe is a lot of what you see.
If it had horns on it I would have let it walk... but 85 lb's does = down in my book... plus they are some of the best meat :)

I shot here at 7:30 am after waking up from a short nap in the tree stand.

BTW... I did put a second one in her from the stand.. it hit square in the back.. above the first entrance wound.
I didn't want to see her get her legs back, so to make sure she didn't go anywhere I threw another one in her just to be on the safe side.....

You know Double tap... make sure they don't get back up.

My luck seems to be holding out, within 1 week I got 2 :)

This guys ran about 50 yards and crashed, left an easy blood trail to follow.

Hes a 7 point 138 lbs with a 12 3/4 spread. With a Bow that's a pretty good kill.

Shot him using the same Rage 2 blade broad head with a Mathews Black Max bow.

The guy on the left is Charlie, some guys on here knew him as TruckGuy back in the CS1.6 days.
I was hunting on a place he hunts, using his tree stand... so you might could say it should have been his deer too.... LOL.
