Anyone catch this news blip?

I saw on the news (shocked me too) that 14,000 players of WarCraft3 were banned for 2 weeks for cheating.
HUH?!?!?!
I don't play it so I don't know but does the game have a central database for haxorz? How else could they pull something like that off. ANyone with more info post it, I'd interested in seeing it....

yeah...and also on diablo2 about a month ago or so..they banned nearly 30k players for 2weeks...so blizzard is doing a damn good job getting rid of the cheaters...
