Well ATI is not bad depending on what you want to do with it. I have two of the cards and I used to use them to capture and edit video. I now do it digitaly, but they were great for that.

well damn, TImbo has either the worst luck in the world, or he just can't figure it out for himself...the ATI card is on its way back to Canada according to Tim.

Mine on the other hand, is working hard with UT2k3 Demo and BF1942.

Well from what I have heard, there is no way that nvidia could have gotten such a large increase in their 3dmark nature scores without unlocking some hidden features in their architecture. Next on the horizon is the NV28, which is going to provide AGP 8x compatibility and an increase in clock and memory speeds for the Ti4600 series. Basically it's just fluff to hold the nvidiots over until NV30 is released. The new cards with have "X8" added to their names, and will more than likely still be called Geforce4.

After being an nvidia user for years (primarily because of driver and hardware quality), I htought long and hard before I made the switch to ATI. I only took the plunge after seeing one first hand and playing a bit on a machine with one in it. The color depth and image quality is really what sold me. That and the fact that it appears that ATI finally got their driver team's head out of their collective ass. I mean we all know that the hardware nowadays is MORE than adequate to run the games we play, but when you can run Anti-Aliasing @ 4x and Anisotropic Filtering @ 16x without a noticable framerate drop, that only makes all your favorites LOOK even better. I can't recommend this card enough. I sold my Gainward Ti4600 to get the Radeon, and I'm VERY happy that I did. The difference is night and day.
