As a result of the "IT Cleanup" where I mentioned getting a Sun Workstation in another thread, I'm also now the proud owner of a AMD 3500+ Socket 939 chip and an Intel P4 2.4 Socket 478 and 1.5GB of DDR2 400. I took both CPU's to increase my odds of finding a motherboard that would work w/ one of them...

So my question is, does anyone have a Socket 939 AMD board or a Socket 478 Intel board? I don't wanna put a lot of money into this - the resulting system will probably be running as a Linux webserver...really, just a toy.

Got an old 386 board (may even have the 387 math copro for it...), and I'm currently running my server on an Athlon 800 Slot A. It's not available, sorry. I can probably come up with an IBM Netvista PIII 450 mobo and processor for ya, though.

Guys - I don't need anything that old :-P

I was just looking for something to put either this AMD 3500+ or P4 2.4 on...

I think they were being Hugh Morris. I may be able to pick up a Commodore 64 still in the factory box.
