Ok, got a friend (My Drummer) who is using Sonar 6. All has gone well for some time now but now its telling him that it has an "improper" installation. He's tried a full uninstall and install but it comes back with the same message and somehow still has the same serial number and all. How can he totally clean the registry after an unistal to insure a good fresh install.

I think it would be under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Sonar 6( or manufacturer's name)

I would just do a search through the registry for Sonar or something and remove all the keys just in case it hides some stuff other places. The problem with this is, as well as ANY registry editing, you can seriously screw some stuff up by deleting the wrong stuff.

Yup! I would recommend exporting all keys before deleting them.

LOL, I'll let him clean at his own discretion.

Now we're talking my kinda language. I just wish someone would have explained a hard boot more to me before I attempted my interpritation, Doh, Stupid Brain!
