here, outside of Houston...I just paid 3.89 at the local Shell.

I have not seen $4 anywhere just yet.

I payed $3.72 on Friday afternoon but the cheapest in Baton Rouge is currently $3.79 which is only at a couple stations.

I usually look up gas prices on http://www.gasbuddy.com/

Apparently we are not paying enough for gas... that is why it keeps going up.

3.89, there are a couple of station around here that are charging 3.99, but they are looking for the unsuspecting traveler.

either way its to much.. .Without going on a rant here, My feelings towards OPEC, our society's failure to foster better alternatives, the car manufactures continuing to promote half hearted solutions with no real intentions of ever solving anything. I've started looking for my own alternatives, use what resources are out there, and do my best to not support the status quo the oil industry and all their back pocket puppets are trying to maintain.

I honestly haven't bought gas in a month...been riding my bike as much as I can to work and back and walking a good bit, which is great for the health too.
$3.87 is the lowest, non-club price.

I paid $3.75 yesterday, but everywhere else was showing $3.85. Stupid oil prices. Wish they would go ahead and release the water burning converter kit that you see plans for on the internet...lol

Screw all of you. I paid $4.43 yesterday for the cheap stuff. I've seen stations around with it for $4.80 and diesel is well into the fives everywhere out here. I'm on my motorcycle as much as possible.

You wanna know the truth?
I honestly haven't even looked at what I was paying for several months now...If I need gas I get it, and I know it's going to be expensive as hell. So, I got gas on Friday, but I honestly have no clue what I paid, other than that I put $30 in and it almost filled 'er up (was between 1/4 and 1/2 tank at the time).

I am with Tech. I try to walk as much as possible. My wife and I can go a couple days now without driving a vehicle. Usually Sundays and Mondays for sure. Sometimes Saturdays also. By doing so I have cut my fuel stops by 50% per month.

The thing about living here though is it really is nice to be able to walk...I mean, it's been in the 50s for a while now, things are relatively close (unless you live where Sling does!)...so you CAN walk or ride a bike most places. In Baton Rouge or LA...that's almost impossible.

Yeller.....you can come visit anytime. As a matter of fact the Simplex-Grinnell office is in the same parking lot as the Hockey Barn. 20 degree ice starting middle of July. It does get into the 100's for a few days in the summer here. Maybe the end of July thru mid August. Like I said.....a few days. I know the owner of Simplex-Grinnell. I can put in a good word.
