For those of you that cut your teeth on the old 8 bit computers (Atari 400/800ST, Amiga, Commodore 64, etc.), you may remember the "demo" scene, where coders would show their prowess by writing demonstration programs (demos) to advertise their skillz. Here's a link (http://tinyurl.com/28qvbt) to a site that has some of the more modern demos. Some are really, REALLY cool, and all of them are (IIRC) [under 100k in length. Amazing what you can do with the right skill set.
