Ok, I've been recruited to do some graphical drawings for Pre-Fire Planning for the Fire Department. I need a program, prefferable cheap (*cough* free *couch*) that will allow me to make 2-D or 3-D, doubt I use the 3-D unless it's really cool and easy, drawings of buildings. I need to be able to the basic layout of the structure and designate fire hazards and exits.

I have Visio but I was looking to see if anyone else has another program the may do the same thing with more bells and whistles.

Thanks all.

For 2D Autocad is easiest and better. For 3D I use Pro-E, but its probably a little to hard to try and pickup to do structual layouts. AutoCad MEP also has piping, electrical, and other stuff built in.

Microsoft Paint is, by far, the best program out there.

LOL, Pencil and paper is easier though.
