Daredevil Evel Knievel dead at 69

Knievel was best known for a failed 1974 attempt to jump Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered cycle and a spectacular crash at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. He suffered nearly 40 broken bones before he retired in 1980.
I remember sitting in our living room with the rest of the family watching the '74 attempt at Snake River Canyon. That would have been cool if he had actually made it. No one can say that he didn't have an exciting life.

Well.. for a guy who beat himself all to pieces, and didn't take care of his body at all when he was younger.. Im suprized he made it to 69. Hes was a working mans friend though... One hard core guy.

Yeah, it suxors but he made it pretty far for what he did to himself early on.
