As long as your mouse does these things you can't go wrong:
1) COMPLETE plug and play capability, i.e. you can take it and plug it into a system and go
2) It's an optical mouse. Rollerballs are so 90's...
3) It has a easy to use mouse wheel. I don't use this much in CS, but dang it's useful in everything else in the world.

I use an IBM Optical Wheelmouse, it's saweet. Although Omega couldn't find the left mouse click... hehehe

Ima left too. All the dern mice are ergonomically designed for righties. Sux. Kinda strange though. The only two things I do lefty are comp gaming and hockey, everything else is right.

mama,
i really like logitech,
and most of them besides
the ergonomic ones arent oriented
for left or right, you can simply change
the handed orientaion in windows, making it
a left handed mouse with no difference,
in other words all my optical mice are
exactly the same left as they are right.

Best thing to stick with for the mouse is the standard wireful ball mouse (unless u have a dual optical mouse)

as far as im concerned though, if it works, is cheap, and dont talk, use it

Why does that not sound good?

I got a Logitech Optical scroll. I had an Intellimouse Explorer, but the darn thing would quit working if I bumped the cord wrong. So I took it back and got this Logitech. And I'm glad I did, never had any problems with it. Plus I bought the Explorer for $20 at Wal-Mart (reduced) and took it back to Office Max, so I got a $30 Logitech and $20 cash, hehehe.

The only thing I cant stand about optics is the pick up factor. When I pick up the mouse to reposition it on the mouse pad it drops the pointer down more than half a page. Of course in CS this means I'm looking at the ground all the sudden. I pick up the mouse way to much to change now so does anyone know of an Optic that wont do this? If so please explain way.

Use a logitech optical mouse on a bumpy table if u hit it right you do a leet spin which ur upper body spins faster than your lower body.

Uh....ok.

MRBIG85

I have never heard of the "leet spin" what advantage does it give you?

LA_MERC_LaTech
