What a lot of people don't know is several of the guys that raised the "Larger" Flag that day, never left Iwo Jima.

I Quoted the Larger, because a smaller flag was raised without much fan fair, so they erected a larger one..
Thats the one that was filmed. It's still just as symbolic, but the original flag raising gets little notoriety.
