Okay, I think I need Office2003 installed first before attempting 2007 install.

You shouldn't need Office 2003 unless you're installing an Office 2007 Upgrade.

Are you running Vista or XP?

If XP, you may need to have the latest version of .Net Framework for Office 2007 (although you'd think the MS bubba's would load it for you).

Also is it scanning your hard drive for it or it can't find it on the CD? If CD you might have bad media.
