Counterspy has always worked great for me. I think Google now owns Lavasoft or partnered with them

T4rg3T I really do not know what works great and what doesn't. As long as the pop-up stops. It is still here and in full force. I will continue to hunt it down.

What kind of pop up is it? Go into your services and disable the messenger service.

i get those when i first install xp with sp1. once i get all windows updates, including sp2, the popups go away.
