Ok...

So I went to a friend of mine's house the other day and played Guitar hero...and I'm hooked.

What do I need to look for when purchasing a PS2 so that I can rock out all the time?

if you can help it, get a fat ps2 instead of a slim. you can mod them very easily, you'll thank me :)

1. Buy a PS2 network adapter (the only thing you'll be using the network adapter for is to plug the harddrive into, it has an ide port on it) http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Playstation-2-Online-Network-Adapter-Broadband-PS2_W0QQitemZ130086279451QQihZ003QQcategoryZ41059Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

2. Get a regular IDE harddrive

3. Hook the harddrive to the adapter, and slide it into your system:

4. Buy the HDADVANCE software: http://www.hdadvance.com/

Here is how it works:
You leave the HDadvance disk i your cd drive at all times. It boots to a menu that lists your games, you just scroll down the list, choose your game, and launch it. It loads the games right from the HD.

Now to get the games to the HD, you can either rip the games to the HD directly from the menu, or download ISO's off of the web and copy them to the HD.

Get the one that has the 94mpx in it makes the color so clear and the sound is cool. Yeah the flat ones do a lot better. Oh and make sure it has the jck hook ups in the back as well don't want to have one with out that!!!

na, the network adapter only accepts the regular 3.5" ide drives :(
