Now.. this would be $1309.92. A little over your target, but it'll play bf2 just fine. You can also add another video card for SLI goodness. You can down grade the vid card and scrap the sound card to save some cash.

You pick out the case.
A CD/DVD recorder/rewriteable is only $40
The hard drive is depending on the size. The 150 Gig WD Raptors are nice but just go with a large WD drive with 16megs of cache and you should be good.

OMFG, James you spec'd out my new parts I'm ordering next week. I'm getting the M2N32 SLI Asus mobo, the AM2 5200+ cpu and 2 Gb of 6500 ram. WOW, great minds think alike. If you remeber emt those are the exact same things I told you the other night.

Can the M2N32 mobo handle QUAD vid processors. The 7950 is a dual proc vid card. Two of those in SLI give you quad vid procs but most mobo's can't handle that.

The 7950 is a dual proc vid card.

I don't know this to be true. If it is I wasn't aware. the model listed here is the GT .. the GX2 version of the 7950 is dual GPU. Reviews metion two of these running in SLI with no problem.

Hold on.... (Srry to jump the thread here) Conda you're going in for a "new" rig? Your current rig is no POS!!! Find a buyer for the old one? John might be interested.

If you buy from H ell you won't be able to fix it. They have special boards and components making it VERY difficult to upgrade and work on.

I have had numerous people at work want me to work on their SHIET, and it is one BIG PITA!!!!!

Oh, but the 3 year warrentee Rocks!

My son bought a desktop from there. While moving, he dropped it down the stairs. Sure enough, they gave him a brand new one. Didn't have to pay anything.

Like I said, its all in the comfort level of your skills.(well, I was thinking it anyway LOL)
