just get a wireless router. I prefer linksys. Then its all a matter of turning on the right security.
If you need to know what specific model to get, this is what i have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833124010

but like i said, i prefer linksys. some folks like dlink / netgear etc

I'm with onji here. Linksys is the brand I'd go with. Stay away from netgear. We purchased a few switches, wireless cards, and WAPs and had tons of problems. Especially with the driver for the cards. TONS of problems. 2 out of the 3 were non functional. DOA. So far linksys as been pretty good for me at home. .

I may be in the minority, but I love my D-Link...

I use a Belkin and it works great, easy to setup and setting security was a breeze. The only thing is the wireless is MUCH slower than my hardwired gaming computer, the kids get the wireless:) !!!!!

My laptop has a wireless card built in...ie..no external network card needed. So if I get a wireless router, will that allow me to connect without too much trouble?
