LOD Crowned Champion

Late last night in a thrilling 119 to 109 slugfest, Legion of Doom captured it’s first LA_MERC FFL title. While accepting the Championship trophy team owner and head coach Wetzny said, “It’s a good feeling winning the regular season championship and following it up with a win in the playoffs, no one gave us a chance.” Led by likely NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson LOD were not to be denied, “we didn’t have our best game of the year yesterday, in fact we were lucky to hang on and win considering the crappy performances we got from Romo, Hassellbeck, Glenn, Coles and Winslow. Couple that with my decision to sit Steven Jackson (39 point effort) along with McNair and Clayton, I put the team in a difficult position.”

However league runner-up Wicked Jester didn’t capitalize on the weakened LOD, “We had our chance to win, LOD had an off week, but we didn’t take advantage of it. We had miserable production from, Rattay, Wayne and Stallworth coupled with zero point games from Willie Parker and Jeremy Shockey! I mean c’mon ZERO points from your starting RB and TE?, basically we blow." Said the disappointed Jester.


In the third place game BlackJacks defeated the Bayou Bengels 150-115 behind a standout performance by Marc Bulger.
