This the messege I get at map change.

Memory.dll:chunkPools::free fails, should not come here!!

What in the world is that crap? Just started lastnigt! Did a Safe Mode check of the RAM all checked ok.

Could not check the vidcard (GeForce 6600) as it did not come with the system. Dell Dimension 4700.

Defraged yesterday prior to the scrim. Did a patch re-install from EA downloader, still no help.

EA is suggesting a manual uninstall with Windows registry editor, can I get a confirm on that from one of you?

Suggestions???

Clear your page file

WHAT????!!! What the hell is that? Why did EA have me manually uninstall it?

Now that I have it uninstalled what is the correct sequence with BF, SF, EF, AF, and all the patches for reinstal?

Reinstall BF2
Reinstall SF

Now you can patch all the way to 1.3 and then you can load all the other games. You can do this through the EA loader

Could you give me the exact commands I should enter? Do you instruct the registry to clear it on shutdown? What about bf2 items that are cached? Should/where do I clear those? Would'nt the uninstall tackle those? Thanks for the help, I wanna get this cleared up before the 1.4 patch.

Thanks!!

Try a few things

1. "MOVE" the Battlefield2 folder out of your My Documents folder and onto your desktop.
2. Uninstall Battlefield 2 Special Forces
3. Uninstall Battlefield2
4. Uninstall EA Downloader
5. Delete the Battlefield2 folder from C:\program files\EA GAMES\
6. Delete the Electronic Arts folder from C:\program files
7. Clear your page file

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Administrative Tools
Click Local Security Policy
Click the "+" next to Local Policies
Click Security Options
Doubleclick "Shutdown: Clear Virtual Memory Pagefile"
Select the "Enabled" radio button
Click OK

8. Reboot
9. You can reverse the option in step 4 but it doesn't hurt to leave it
10. Reinstall EA Downloader (http://downloader.ea.com/)
11. Reinstall Battlefield2
12. Reinstall Battlefield2 Special Forces
13. Patch to 1.3 using the 1.3 full
14. Reinstall any Booster Packs.

Here was the message.

What processor do you have?

What size is your page file? Right click "My Computer" >> properties >> Advanced tab >> Performance settings >> Advanced .. Its at the bottom under Virtual Memory

Also, what programs do you have running while you are playing? How long have you had McAfee installed? Could you uninstall the firewall protion or both just to see if it helps. Let me know about the page file info first

Also, you could still reset your bios to defaults and reset your memory sticks.

Reformate your machine, that works everytime... MUHHAHAHAHA.... The Dog has spoken... :)

Yeah, a reformat would fix everything but software is software and it can become corrupt at any time.

Your page file should be 1.5x physical ram. If you click on the option to change, windows will give you the recommened size for your page file. You should set it at the recommended size.

Also, try resetting your bios to defaults and opening up your machine and reseat the ram modules.

sounds like someone needs to "format c:"

LA_MERC_Andyconda
September 5th, 2006, 12:10 PM
The new 1.4 patch may do the trick. Format C is a LAST RESORT.

Format C is almost like Hurricane Katrina. Last Resort but it will clean out all the trash in your system.

Ok... System is better after 1.4, however last night I was in the game then I disconnected for a couple of hours leaving TS opened. Returned to load the game, hit join the game and I was sent to the BlUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Messege appeared as IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal.

Thoughts??

Maybe your system wants all the avatars on at one time. I do. It could happen.....
