bf2 issue

I have a strange issue that has started getting more frequent and its getting me frustrated. I jump into bf2..load...load...get into the game....pick a kit..then as soon as i go to spawn by hitting done...wham...Im back at my desktop? Sometimes I can play no problem, other times after multiple tries of it doing it, I give up and go on to something else. I havent changed anything, added anything, anti-virus not running, Could it be a memory issue? I have 1gig and have no problem bumping that up. Any other idea's.

You can try going into your My Documents and moving your "Battlefield 2" folder to your desktop and then trying to join the game. All of your setting might be lost but it may help out your game and you can always go back in and set everything back up
