I've been informed that some people would like me to get a sound card so maybe they can understand what I'm saying in TS. Presently it works sometimes and others it's just garbled feedback sounds, atleast that's what I think it sounds like. Oddly it's also related to certain people most of the time, Target says if I talk for more than 5 seconds he loses all sound ingame and through TS. I know others have had trouble understanding me so I thought maybe I should figure this mofo out. There seems to be no problems when I use the in game VOIP.

A couple days ago I played with all the TS settings and updated my sound drivers all to no avail. I even checked the 8 bit sound box that says only check if having problems with your sound. I'm not sure what else I can do except buy a sound card to see if that works.

Right now I have the built in audio through my Asus A8N-SLI Premium mobo. I'm not using surround sound or recording anything, I just want my voice to be heard on the battlefield. So what sound card would you recommend? Again I don't need all the bells and whistles, just enough for BF2 and TS. I've seen on newegg 2 cards that should fit the bill.

do you have enable gamevoice hardware support checked and what do you have bandwidth set to?

Direct sound or wave? lower latency or better sound quality?

I've never had a problem with your voice in game or out.

Enable gamevoice hardware support is not checked and has never been checked, my bandwidth is set to unlimited. It was originally set to Wave for the sound driver but I've changed it to Direct sound. My latency used to be in the middle but I've put it up to better sound quality.

Under the Sound Devices tab my Input and Output device was set to Primary sound Capture Driver for Input and Primary Sound Driver for Output. After I updated my sound drivers I changed it to Realtec AC97 Audio.

Try enabling gamevoice hardware support

I tried enabling gamevoice hardware and got the driver you posted and it's still no different. I think the weirdest part it some people hear me fine and others have problems most of the time. It's not just a TS problem because they will lose all sound in BF2 as well. I'm checking out the TS forums now but I don't think what they've put up is going to make a difference.
