I'm setting up a wireless network at home but I turned my router's wifi off because I'm pretty sure someone was leaching off me. Now I want it back on but I can't remember how to get back to my router page to turn it back on. I thought the ip was 192.68.1.1 but it didn't work so I guess it's wrong. Anyone know the ip to routers? Also I want to make sure it's secure so I want a password or encryption for my network, how easy is that to setup?

depends on what type of router it is:

linksys = http://192.168.1.1
netgear = http://192.168.0.1
dlink = http://192.168.0.1

turn on Mac fitering. If you want to get a little more complex, use a WEP key as well. And disable the broadcast of your ssid

It's like he's trying to tell me something. I know zilch about networking I've heard the names of Mac filtering and WEP encryption but I don't know how to mess with it. If it's pretty easy don't worry about it I'll figure it out, but if it's sorta complex tell me how to set this up.

I'm sure Onji knows a link to a nice how-to website...

Do what I did. I called Darren up and let him take control of my system from afar and watched as he magically setup my wifi networdk at home right before my eyes. MAGIC!
