Can an employer see ftp activity? Say someone wanted to transfer files via ftp...is that trackable? I'd like to work on my personal webspace during lunch....or other stuff..... :)

They probably could if they had the necessary equipment installed but most of the time, they wouldn't bother with it unless something else came up.

We have a proxy server here that tracks everyone by user name. A lot of larger firms track and or limit internet access. Like Toby said... The information rarely gets reviewed. Only if there is a problem. That doesn't mean that they won't review it... sometimes here they run down the list just to see how much time people are spending online. I personally hate it. We delayed implamentation of the tracking software as long as posible...
