Windows XP problem

Have a friend who just upgraded to Windows XP Pro. He can't install PeoplePC or an HPfax/printer/copier. It goes through installation then crashes out. Any ideas.

Upgrading to any software, is no fun. Did he upgrade from 2K or ME? Or, was it a fresh install?

Lol, he upgraded from 98. I think he may be blocked by the firewall. I'm going to show him how to disable while he installs some software. The turn it back on. I have to do that for some software if it requires an internet connection. Well see.
