Ok, not working out. I have my media PC hooked up. I want to capture a 5 minute news report from my DVR and it's not working. I have VIVO on my vid card and for someoreason the windows movie maker is not seeing the DVR. This is probably not the right setup, (well Obviously since it's not working), so I need some entertainment center help guys. What program is good for this.

How do you have the DVR hooked up to the comp?
Remember on the Hd DVR, if the HDMI output is connected, it disables all other outputs.

That may be it. I'll connect the DVR to the TV using component and maybe the av cables from teh DVR will work.

Have you tried hooking just to the comp and unhooking the tv? And then tryingto view the dvr on the comp?
