Okay, my linksys router has DHCP enabled, but the computers on the network are not receing ip addresses from the router. I have had to manually specify the wired computers, but the wireless devices I do not want to do that to.

Does anyone have any ideas why the router is not assigning ip addresses?

Help!

BTW If memory serves me correctly, this wasn't a problem UNTIL I upgraded the firmware on the router a few months ago, but I may be mistaken. It might have been doing this before the upgrade...

Downgrade the firmware? Write down all the router settings and reset the router to factory defaults using the reset switch on the back. You should do that after every firmware upgrade.
