I havent changed a thing and my computer which was running at around 48c is now hitting temps of 55c-61c. The computer was right next to the wall water heater strip that runs accross the floor so i moved it up to the top of the desk and then dusted it and checked all the fans... but it still runs at like 60c when im gaming. Any ideals?

Could be that mabey either you fan on cpu has slowed down due to age, or the thermal greas between heatsink and cpu has broken down a little due to age.

I noticed my temp was running above normal a while back. I checked and found a lot of extra processes running. Since I have removed those, the temp has been back to normal levels.

i think it really has to do with the room temp because i just open the window (brrrrrrr) and the temp has droped back down to 45.8.

Very strange that it would just decide to get hot this week though when the room temp has been about the same all month.

I'm having the same problem too.... I run at 47c and it was going up to 55c when i was playing blockland. If i take off the side panel of my case the temp drops right back down again, so I must have airflow problems. If that doesn't work for you it has to be the thermal paste.
