Now that I'm in the 30s I'm getting to places where the loot is actually worth getting. Ive had some decent luck lately with blue items from both Deadmines and Gnomerigan but this is by far the best I've collected....

funny story behind this one. I am a notoriously bad roller on loot. I'm known to roll single digitis many times in a row. So 4 of us were doing the library in the Scarlet Monestary and as we approached Doan I said. "If this guy drops the Illusionary Rod, I wants it". Since I was the only caster in the group it was no problem. So we kill him and he drops the staff and I say "MINEMINEMINE!" in party chat and this hit roll and I roll a freakin 100 on an item that everybody else was gonna let me have. =)

you need to see the power in Dual swords for SS, grab a high end damage dagger and make a macro to swap to your main hand sword after you use ambush or backstab, then get a high min dmg sword and rock the house with dual swords as a rouge.

I don't really use backstab or ambush, the energy to dmg rate is not very good.

The cool thing I like about daggers is that their dps is higher with them then dual swords because I critical over 25% of the time.

Don't get me wrong I've used dual swords as well, it's just that right now I haven't seen a sword or dagger thats really better then what I'm using currently. I'm using an enchanted Black Menace and some vorpal dagger of the monkey. I see many daggers that are as good, but none that are better.

Although I would love to get my hands two of these puppies

Well I know what drops it. Guess I have to just raid and raid it until I get a couple.

90% of uber loot is BoP. Bastards did that on purpose to keep farming down and control the economy. Great idea but it really sux to get some awesome item that your toon could never use. That dagger you posted would bring at least 50g but its vendor price is around 7g.

I just checked it again...the drop rate is 25%. You should have NO PROBLEM getting 2 of those. Dunno how tough it is to get to the mob but 25% DR would make it very doable.

just so you guys know you cant really farm for this item since its an epic weapon.....it means that its a random world spawn drop from 55+

No its not. A named character in Blackrock drops it, or has a chance to drop it I should say.

Bind on Pickup items are almost always quest items or special items dropped by named characters.

However killing him twice and rolling good on both times will be more difficult then most would guess.

He's a level 500+ elite boss (raid kill). This is where guilds come in handy. We are going to get a bunch of high levlers and raid this guy daily till we all get what we want. LOL

WOOT, I did get some new weapons for my rogue though.
They aren't daggers but they will get me by until I can get my deathstrikers.

The only problem is that my rogue is spec'ed for daggers. And the stats aren't supper cool. Well the thrash blades is ok, but the poison fist one isn't all that useful. I don't actually think I've even seen the fist poison anyone yet. It has decent damage though so it will be a good weapon until I can find a replacement.

for the most part epic weapons are random world drops around the lvl that they are used....but for bosses and such its has a low chance of dropping....right now im trying to get these 2 weapons from Zul'Furrak

Interesting weapon, not good for a rogue though. That effect will break a rogues sap and blind which seriously hinders your crowd control abilities.

If you aren't waking up sapped guys then it doesn't proc very often. If it doesn't proc very often then it really doesn't have a very good effect.

I had the Black menace (http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=3148) that I added a fire enchantment too. This fire enchantment would hit all enemies in 10 yards with a 10-12 fire damage. So I would go up and sap someone and have to pull the enemies away from the sapped person or I would be in trouble. This was a pain in the butt, but not all together a horrible setup though. For example the blast if proc'ed 2-3 times was powerfull enough to take out totems. So its a trade off. The bad comes in when you have wizards sheeping and you're sapping. That proc will break it, making you do much more work. Thats all I'm saying.

I'm always fighting in tough areas where you have to use crowd control or die.
