Carson was my favorite as well. He's a legend in my book and I enjoyed watching him in my younger years late at night with my Dad.

Dave Letterman just did a very touching tribute to Johnny on his show tonight. His monologue was entirely made of jokes Johnny had been sending him over the last few months, the guests were the producer of the Tonight Show, and Doc Severinsen. Doc ended the show by playing a beautiful version of "Here's that Rainy Day" - Johnny's favorite song.

This is by far the best tribue to the man I've seen on TV since his death. It wasn't tabloid crap, and it wasn't stock clips from the tonight show. It was 3 guys that really loved Johnny Carson on a personal level talking and sharing experiances. At several times in the show you could actually see Dave crying, and I'll be honest, I got tears in my eyes several times...especially while Doc was playing.
