OK - I have a brand new (smaller) desk that I've had for a year and never put together. Also, I have 2 17" monitors that are perfectly fine sitting in my floor, and I'd really like to move too the smaller desk, and probably set the PC up in the Living Room given the space shortage in my room (those that have been here know what I'm talking about).

I don't really do anything to utilize the 21" anymore.

If anybody wants it, make offer (I don't really know what it's worth), or it may sadly wind up in the storage building too.

Anyway, it's a nice monitor, but it's HUGE and weighs a TON (the reason I really don't want to try and ship it).

Just let me know if anyone wants it, it'll probably after Christmas before I get around to putting the new desk together and hauling this thing to the building.

Max, the way you started off it sounded like you needed to sell the desk that you never put together, along with two 17in monitiors, then you started into the 21in monitor... Just clarifiying the statment.

Find a retail price and take of 25% - 40%...(based on condition) that should be fair.

Ok - here's what I've researched - This monitor originally sold for like $499 in 2000 when new, but prices on CRT's have dropped a lot.

This model is now discontinued, but the cheapest 21" CRT I found on Pricewatch was a Viewsonic for $218

With CFH's method, - 40%, that would put us at $131, which is higher than I was expecting to get for it. The Cheapest 17" at work is $99, the Cheapest 19" is $169, and we do not carry any 21" CRT's in the store.

This monitor IS 5 years old and has some Yellowing of the plastics from age but is very clear sharp and bright. So with that information, to whoever is interested, make me a reasonable educated offer.

What were you expecting to sell it for, lets start there. I could use an update but I don't live in SC. Maybe you could bring it to the LAN.
