Need help..Im stuck

ok, ok...I know I suck. Im stuck and don't know what to do.

Im in the sewers in the room that has the spinning 4-sided "gate" for lack of a better word. It's smerged in water. I dont know how to get past the steel bars. In case your not sure where Im at, its the first puzzle right after you get the sub machine gun.

BTW, I just LOVE some of the puzzles in this game.

swim down under water, follow the turn of the "gate" and you will see a vent, go in the vent and youre out of the room

highlight the black area to see the solution

Some of the puzzles take a while to figure out...no lie...but the game is awesome.
