I have one basic rule:

You can make a decent videogame based on a movie, but NEVER make a movie based on a videogame.

whatever, like Streetfighter, Mario Brothers, and that movie based off Duke Nukem (can't remember the name now)....they were all GREAT!

seriously though, Resident Evil and Mortal combat weren't that bad. and I'm sure there are others.

Yeah -- Honestly, I didn't dig Mortal comabt at all.

RE was good enough, but Mila Jovovich and that Rodriguez chick carried that film. I'll probably go check out the sequel.

Final Fantasy, The Spirits Within was cool for it's geek-pull, and Steve Buscemi is funny no matter what he's doing.

The only reasons I watched the Tomb Raider movies: Anjelina Jolie in tight outfits.

Imagine how badly some of these movies would do at the box office if they weren't associated with a video game?

I want to see Resident Evil 2 Just because Ive palyed through RE 1, 2 and 3 and the 2nd one was Killer... and Mila Jovovich with nothing on but a hospital gown an a shot gun dont hurt none either...:)

OMG w00t! I can't wait for this one. I hope there is alot more of the predalien in the movie. (you can see a glimps of it at the very end of the trailer) I don't care if it has cheesy dialog, the special effects look incredible.
