These are awesome games, and I encourage anyone who likes fps's and drivable vehicles, and ctf to check these out. If you've never played tribes, then your in for a treat, its nothing like youve played before.

I give up...after two tries...two errors at the 98% done mark...file size mismatch error. What the hell is goin on...any ideas?

oh i forgot to mention, if you pick up the latest computer gaming world magazine, it has both tribes games on dvd for free in it

There is an in game server browser in tribes2, theres really no set place that we've decided to play as of yet

Oh that's mean - it's free, but you have to pay to download it? If you already have it can you stick it on the FTP..I only want Tribes - according to TransGaming, Only Tribes works in WineX - Tribes 2 doesnt :(

Well, right now I don't have windows load - just Slackware..

Anyway, I'm gonna check out Tribes (1) to see how I like it.
I've actually never heard of them before [blushes] :)

Downloading Tribes 2 as well (just in case) - transgaming is always adding new games!

Transgaming gave Tribes 2 a 1 out of 5, meaning it will install but not play, but most are saying that it installs and plays fine, so I'll give it a whirl...it's still downloading - I just installed Tribes 1 and it works fine :)

1. You have to have your email address verified with GameSpy. Mine wasn't, and I bet this is the cause of the problem for half of you guys too. Login, go the the "My Account" link, then "Login Settings", and next to where it says "You are logged in as johndoe ([email protected])" it should say if your address is verified or not. If it's say unverified, click the link to verify it. Only click it once; it took me about 5 minutes to get the email after I clicked it. If you click it again you have to wait for the new email to arrive also.

2. Once your email address is verified, log out and log back in.

3. Go to http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/tribes2_cgw

I just got my CDKey using this process. good luck.

my freakin patch wont open. Anyone got any ideas?? I click on it and nothing happens. I've d/l'd it several times from different places thinking it might be corrupted. Now I just think there is something in my computer settings that wont allow it to open. Chime in nubs and give me a hand???
