lap top ?

Anyone looking to get rid of an old lap top? nothing special needed, basically would just like to be able to load windows xp 'n office xp, for traveling writing purposes :)

would need a min of a cd reader, and a zip or floppy disk, possibly a usb port so i could use a portable usb drive.

we have 6 old Dell insperion 5000 laptops at work. some have P3450's others have celeron 500's. I have XP on a couple of them now. (win and office) How much are you looking to spend? I can talk to my boss and see if he would want to sell one. I'm not sure if he would, but maybe. We have been talking about getting a mor powerful laptop for the owner.

I'd rather know what the price range is than state a price - I may state a price too low but be actually willing to shell out more if the price range was achievable.

If your boss says he's willing to part with one, let me know what the specs are, and i can tell ya what that's worth to me then, or if he states a price, I can tell ya if that's in my range :)
