Well, I'm here, but gaming I've not done since the little one got here. Amazing how much life changes when there's a 1 year old in the house.

I updated BF3 and will download End Game as soon as it hits. I need to get a little practice in on the game before the new DLC comes out for the PC on the 12th. My PC isn't feeling that good lately, so I'm not sure it will even play the game very well. Those dirt bikes look pretty cool though.

So how did you break your collar bone (and please don't tell me it involved gay sex in a public restroom as that's Bacos M.O.)?

"I didn't want to be gay, I got sucked into it!"

LOL, No, I broke my collar bone snow skiing. Flying down the mountain with the mind of an 18 year old and the body of a 38 year old ended up poorly. I flew too high and too far for the body to withstand it. Weakest link was the collar bone.

Since I've been having trouble getting mumble to play nice with BF3 on my PC and since BF3 Premium was on sale for $30, I ordered the xbox 360 version of it. I really like the close quarters DLC and it gets pretty laggy (graphic lag) on my PC with so much action at one time. Sort of made it unplayable for me. Re-buying Premium on the 360 seems like the best option for me until the next gen hardware arrives. If anybody is playing BF3 on the 360, send me a friend invite.

What do you need to make it playable?

The E8400 and Radeon 6950 just doesn't have enough punch for 64 player close quarters. The $30 for BF3 Premium is less than any other option. I don't want to rebuild my main PC at the moment though. I've got too much on there that I'm using for other projects.

Weird - I'm running a 6950 and a 6 x 3Ghz Hexacore AMD processor and it runs just fine at 1600x1200. Even on 64 player CQ maps. I wonder what the difference is between our setups? Video driver version?

I believe the video drivers are up to date. I do have a lot of development tools installed so that may have mucked around with things a bit. Also, the socket 775 board that I have is DDR2 so that doesn't help. It's definitely not a connection speed issue as my pings are low and my connection seems pretty solid. I'm getting used to the controller again in BF3, so I suppose my computer speed isn't really a problem now.
